Black Phoenix. Birds from officially imported
and inspected hatching eggs, these are from my own work with this colour
in Standard Phoenix here in Italy. We still have to reduce the silver in
the line, but carriage and form and feather structure are fixed. Because
this line has Black Hamburg in its background, work will need to be done
also to keep the combs small and of fine texture. Kurokashiwa also figures
in their recent past, hence the darkened white earlobes seen here in the
first two hens.
