The genes for Onagdori are still extant in some
lines in America. This bird shows the definite influence of the non moulting
gene (nm) that must be present homozygously to represent a true Ongadori,
but lacks in mutliple feathering to create a thick, luxurient tail. Quite
a fabulous bird for the state of the breed in America.
