The Bariton of the Japanese Longcrowers - the
Tomaru. Many in Europe say that this breed has the most beautiful voice,
often a two-toned baritone, finishing toward bass. Toni Astin imported just
a few eggs (this breed is not prolific layers) from me in 2002, but she
got at lest one cockerel and a couple of hens! Another line of Tomaru exists
in America, so this new pure-blood line should help out with the other.
A gentle breed, very slow to develop, very hardy. Pitch black with much
black in the faces of the cocks, the hens being completely black. Soles
of feet whitish - not olive as in the Sumatra.
