This hen and the next two just below this one
in the thumbnail gallery show the state-of-the-art of the Yokohama in America,
and are promising developments in the sense of leg colour (have to be yellow),
wattle-free (which shows either Phoenix of some other breed's foreign influence),
good contrast between wing shield and breast colour, and clear creamy-white
pearling. This hen is showing some very important pigment reserves in the
black lacing of her saddle feathers, as well as the deep, rich oxblood of
her shoulders. Paired together with a lighter rooster with good, clear pearling,
and a percentage of superbly-pigmented and beautifully-pearled offspring
will certainly be the result!
