The AMERICAN LONGTAILS:
BRUCE JENKINS YOKOHAMAS
link to personal webpages
This hen and the next two just below this one in the thumbnail gallery show the state-of-the-art of the Yokohama in America, and are promising developments in the sense of leg colour (have to be yellow), wattle-free (which shows either Phoenix of some other breed's foreign influence), good contrast between wing shield and breast colour, and clear creamy-white pearling. This hen is showing some very important pigment reserves in the black lacing of her saddle feathers, as well as the deep, rich oxblood of her shoulders. Paired together with a lighter rooster with good, clear pearling, and a percentage of superbly-pigmented and beautifully-pearled offspring will certainly be the result!
