This little rooster was a jewel on the farm where
we lived in Switzerland! He was directly descendant of birds improted from
then iron-curtained East Germany. A couple of breeders were allowed to make
a once in a lifetime visit allowed by the communist government and they
were very kind to bring us some eggs from their far more developed stocks.
These birds now dominate the genetic pool of red-shouldered Yokohama bantams
in Germany, Switzerland and Holland.
