BREEDING FOR THE LONGTAILS - body form

This is a magnificent form in a longtail hen. Note the elegant, elongated form and the length of the sickles and coverts. This hen was just entering her first season of egg-laying. The form of many hens change after or during their first year, becoming heavier and their underbellies becoming fuller, giving the impression that the legs have become shorter.

An excellent Phoenix hen as far as length and slender body form are concerned.

This group shows excellence in form and feathering, both in the hens and in the roosters.
