BREEDING FOR THE LONGTAILS - body form

The next examples are of the older standard for
form, a body shape much influenced by the fact that the Onagadori and Phoenix
were considered to be the same breed. The Onagadori has a falling back line
and a "country chicken" body form with as long as possible veil
of feathers. The feathers are also usually soft and limp. These birds usually
are much feather richer than the modern form birds.
