The Red-Shouldered Yokohama
(rotgesattelte Jokohama)
A few more shots of birds from the breeding programmes
of Hansjoerg Haltiner in Switzerland. The cock below is of the large breed
and was ringed early in the 1990's . This shot is from that period of time.
The cock had an exceptional level of refinement: feathering, spangling,
comb, stance and leg colour. The only thing lacking would be better saddle
hackle.

This is a second shot of the cock above with an
exceptional hen. Hansjoerg stopped working with the large breed to dedicate
more time with the rare Bantams Red-Shouldered Yokohamas and Bantam Phoenix

I'm not sure what the provenance of the birds
below is, but they seem to be of East German type, which were a little smaller
than the West German type, and lighter in body.
